In‑mold robotic pick‑up system for cup thermoforming machine

Function Introduction

Most conventional cup thermoforming machines eject finished articles by air blowing. For deep‑cavity, thin‑wall and large‑diameter cups, air‑blow ejection often causes cup inversion, disordered stacking, rim deformation and articles stuck inside mould cavities.

The in‑mold robotic pick‑up unit stretches into mould cavities right after mould opening, accurately extracts finished cups and transfers them to the stacking station. It realizes automatic discharging without relying on air‑blow ejection.

Core Advantages

1. Lower defective rate
Thin‑wall and deep‑draw cups avoid inversion, scratch and rim deformation. For thin‑gauge PP & PET articles, it eliminates collision defects caused by air‑blow ejection and delivers stable finished‑part quality.
2. High‑speed mass‑production capability
It synchronizes with the host servo system. Robotic movements match the forming cycle precisely without extra time loss and no reduction of machine output, ideal for high‑volume continuous cup production.
3. Less mould‑jamming failures

Greatly reduce parts sticking to moulds and residual articles trapped in cavities. Manual intervention and mould‑cleaning downtime are minimized to improve machine uptime.

4. Wide compatibility with materials & cup styles
Compatible with PP, PET, PS and other raw materials. Suitable for ice‑cream cups, jelly cups, drinking cups, sauce cups and other deep‑draw products. Robotic travel can be quickly adjusted via parameters upon mould change‑over.
5. Optimized downstream stacking
Extracted articles keep uniform posture and feed directly into the stacking unit. Neat stacking reduces cup disorder and facilitates subsequent packing.
